  My letter of disassociation, what do you think?

  dear brothers, july 27, 2020. in 1919, the president of the watchtower society made a bold prediction, “millions now living will never die”.

  that quotation was constantly repeated by the organization till the year 2000 when they realized that everyone in attendance at that assembly, who listened to j.r. rutherford repeat those words, are dead.. that teaching has guided my life.

  statements were repeatedly made at assemblies, conventions and in print that there was no career in “this system of things” so you don’t need a job with benefits or retirement, your fulltime job is to “preach the good news”!

  James Jack: "I'm running for public office next month. Our local newspaper printed my name as a candidate. I got multiple phone calls from other JW's wanting know what is going on in my life. Yesterday, The Elders called me to a committee meeting."

  Yep...sounds like a letter of DA would be in order. Good luck to you mate. In this instance, me thinks your DA will leave a black-eyed imprint in your local JW community...nothing wrong with that...in fact a bonus!

  BTW...your letter is indeed in good taste...I can see the elders reading it as well...a good witness to them.

  I often think of Blondie when visiting Las Vegas. Planet Hollywood in Vegas off of Harmon Blvd & the Vegas Strip has a ton of inside shops called 'Miracle Mile Shops'. Included in these shops are a ton of places to eat. One of the classy restaurants there is called 'Blondie's' that I frequent.

  Any way...long live 'Blondie'...and may the good Lord be good to you!

  Honest assessment of my life

  my old account was silent and i had to create a new account which kind of bums me, but here i am.. over the years i've really experienced some rough times emotionally and spiritually which led me down many paths.

  being angry most all of time with a few outbursts really started to make me take stock of what was wrong with me.

  further i started really going back and trying to figure out where i went wrong.. so i revisted all my previous posts on here.

  ...it's pitiful when grown adult ordained ministers (elders) pullout the apostate card and repeatedly refer Bridget fromaz to their web site instead of admitting when they're stumped!

  What's another way to handle a question form a caller that you (JW) can't or don't want to deal with...abruptly hangup!

  at what time would you say that the watch tower schema lost the spirit?.

  like the ancient nation of israel which struggled maintaining divine blessing due to a long series of grave errors that eventually culminated in definitive loss... how and when did watch tower lose the spirit?.

  can we pinpoint a time or event?.

  They Are Going To Start Clamping Down With Staying At Home - Local Needs + GB Update #4

  many of us have watched the gb #4 update.

  most of us jumped for joy when they basically said that there will be no meeting in person for a long time to come.. one aspect we overlooked was how hard they hit home the "love of neighbor".

  how this "love" is what makes a true christian and as a result our love for our neighbors will motivate us to stay at home.. well now they released a letter that is instructing all kh's to view this video during their local needs part.

  Just talked to a friend from a nearby congregation to see how her zoom meetings are doing. Just as I expected...she related that often she sees 40% to 50% of those in zoom attendance have their video/camera turned off.

  I suspect that 'Mother' is going to be addressing this problem of all these camera-shy JW delinquents sooner rather than later. Will it be a local needs part...or will it be covered in a broadcast video? Considering that WT's stay at home order will likely remain in place for many months to come...this trend of the rank & file keeping their cameras turned-off will only worsen. So this cult has to attempt something to keep camera-bashful Jdubbs tuned-in.

  sir82: In our congregation fully half the attendees shut down the video for the whole meeting. I strongly suspect there are adult beverages and other "stuff" going on.

  I experienced almost the same thing...I was on a JW gawd awfully boring zoom meeting recently. I listened in on both midweek and Sunday meetings...on both days there were about 85 different devices zoomed-in. The hilarious thing about it was that about a third (between 25 to 30) individual devices had their camera/video turned off. That is a rather large amount of attendees who opted out of wanting to be seen on camera. The elders can't be too happy about that!🤣🤣🤣

  The equivalent to that is if at an actual Kingdom Hall meeting 30% to 50% of those in attendance were to gather in the lobby to chit chat while the meeting is going on.
